Is possible but needs my permission. Means you have to let me know if you´re planning to use my brushes for your online work and things to earn some money. It´s not that I am completely against it but I like to know and get the chance to decide about it myself!

Permission, in most cases, will be given for any kind of creative artwork, scrapbooking, photoworks, webdesign, print and these things. No permission, in no case, will be given for anything that contents porn, racism and persons or sites linked to anything illegal.

My brushes have been made for private use in the first place, if you´re going to use them for your professional artwork an Itsumo membership is needed. For lifetime by the way what actually sounds more official than it really is. In other words you won´t be allowed to use my brushes for commercial stuff if you just place an order without asking for a license, too.

In return I´d gladly give you a special place up here at Seishido, my support and a little promotion. You´d be mentioned and linked with a screenshot of your website and a personal intro by me. Kind of some extra cookies for you! I just like to always remember the people who´re supporting me and give a something in return. I like it the personal way cause Seishido isn´t just another shoppe as you´ve maybe noticed already?!

What does Itsumo lifetime membership means?
It actually means what it says, itsumo is the japanese word to say forever! Unlimited access, no extension needed, as long as Seishido will be online. You can choose between licenses for single brushsets, a category or license packs for 3, 6, 12 or all 24 categories. Every license is an unlimited one, means you will get all current and all upcoming brushsets even though the category pack prices will change every now and then because of additional brushsets in it. Once you own a license it´s yours and you´ll also get your own special license sign to be officially authorized. No changes, no extension needed, that´s the Itsumo lifetime membership! I am making brushes since 2001 and the archive is monthly growing. I am not planning to ever give up on this.

Will I get members area acess too?
Actually not! To own a license only is meant as kind of a membership because every license is unlimited and this way you will always be a part of Seishido and Seishido a part of your work aswell. That does not mean the membership accounts which can be purchased in store. This is a chart of what each license will have for you:

Won´t I pay on top by ordering one license now and more later?
No, don´t worry about that at all. If you decide to buy one license now, more later and so on you will automatically get the complete license for all brushsets once you´ve reached the amount it actually costs. You´ll never pay more for less just because you didn´t pick up all at once.

What if I am not sure yet if your brushes will fit?
Actually I won´t refund license fees just because you´ve changed your mind but I totally understand if you first wanna try a set out before you decide if it really fits. In this case please contact me and ask for a detailed 800x600 preview of the brushes you´re eyeballing with. Maybe a 100% preview picture will help you to make a decision. If you´ve purchased brushes before I would be also willing to send a set out and let you decide to wether buy a license later or use the brushes for personal stuff. It´s all about trust and honest people over here and I am not biting as long as you´re not trying to trick me!

Can I use your brushes for things I am selling?
Yes, you can as long as you´re a lifetime member and own a license. Then you´re are allowed to use my brushes on whatever you want to design and sell at your shoppe.

Do I have to give credit still?
Of course, as a designer you should know that by heart. You don´t have to put a stamp on all your products or add my banner right under each, that´s too much of kindness I think. I´d appreciate a link back to my site and a little note about where the brushes are from is totally fine with me. That´s all I am asking for, being named as the source of the things you´ve used as soon as you´ve done.

As a commercial member do I own your brushes?
Kinda but still my brushes can´t be bought! They are yours and you are allowed to use them on all your private artwork and things you´re earning some money with. But after all these brushes are still copyrighted by me and only me. Means you can´t sell them or give them away to others. My brushes are original artwork just like your designs will always be fingerprinted by you. Someone can use your things and kinda own them but the idea in there´s always belong to you.

Can I offer the sets on my site?
It´s strictly forbidden to direct link a set or download one to offer it anywhere else but right here. The only website which´s officially allowed to exclusively offer a few brushsets and textures for their customers is Photoshop Support cause Eric supports Seishido in such a lovely way and this is what I can do in return.

Am I allowed to forward your brushes to others?
No, but you´re allowed to forward others to me so they can discover Seishido theirselves!

Can I share my license or membership?
No but as always exceptions are possible, feel free to contact me with any question about that. For example you´re the teamleader of a group which is designing together for the one store you are planning to sell your products. It wouldn´t make sense to only allow you to use my brushes cause a team cannot work together as long as just the leader is allowed to be brushy. Well, in this case just ask for permission and we will see. I am not biting!

What will happen if I break the rules?
I´ll bite you! Your membership will be ended asap without a money refund. No more monthly updates for you and me pretty upset! I know all current and past members by heart, I remember each and everyone´s name, I´d surely notice if someone´s cheating me and using my brushes without my permission.

How will I get the brushes?
That depends on the categories you are planning to use. Single categories and their upcoming sets can be sent out by email but only if you cannot wait to use them. As a commercial member for 3 or more categories I will send you your brushes on CD if you want me to. In case you´ll ever loose the brushes because of computer troubles or your CD will get lost just count on me. You will get a new one. Shipping free of course, all free, all service and some extra cookies too!

Can your brushes be used on a mac, too?
Yes, all brushsets are .abr files and are compatible with Photoshop version 6.0 and higher, no matter if pc or mac. They are not made for Paint Shop Pro! But they are compatible with Photoshop Elements, version 4.0 that´s for sure. You can always try the free brushsets to find out if my brushes fit within your versions of any Photoshop programs.

What about the size of your brushes, the dpi?
I don´t know which resolution all the images had I have made brushsets from. Actually the preview pictures show very well how large or tiny they are. Some sets include brushes bigger than 1000 pixel, some are made of small images only. If you are not sure about the quality just download one or more of the free sets cause all my sets have been made the same way, if the free sets fit your imagination then all others will do aswell. Anything else?
Yes, a little note about some sets which have been made of stamper scans or pictures I have no copyright for. These sets are marked though © and a link to where I have taken the images from. Most of these sets are freeware and cannot be used at commercial artwork. Please keep an eye open then!

Why don´t you produce something yourself?
That´s actually your job, I am just the brushmaker and this part of the whole thing keeps me busy like hell! Seeing others designing things with my brushes makes me happy. Knowing there are products out there with my brushes on makes me proud and reading about Seishido or my work somewhere keeps me going on. I will be satisfied if you are, there´s nothing more I ever wanted!

Wow, and the shortcut?
Commercial use needs a license and my permission. You will get lifetime access to the categories you own a license for, all current brushsets in there and all upcoming ones. The license basic is $ 10.00 on top of a single brushset or about $ 100.00 on top of each category pack price, license packages are much cheaper, the complete license sparkles at night!

And where exactly starts commercial use of brushes?
I´m not that picky and if you still need some questions answered just ask. To me commercial use starts when you´re going to create things with my brushes or textures on to earn some money with. If you´re for example selling pet furnitures and all you need is a brushy layout for your online store to make it more beautiful for your customers it´ll still be personal use. No license needed, that is just for fun and decoration. That´s where the line is drawn.

I already bought a brushset or category pack how to upgrade to commercial?
If you have already bought a category package and just wanna upgrade to commercial use you of course do not have to purchase the license as it is listed above. Then just simply add the license fee and it´s all fine! A license always includes the package price and the fee, no one has to pay twice for a brush pack! Same for single brushes, just add the fee, don´t pick the brush a second time. Upgrade is possible whenever you want and feel like getting commercial with Seishido brushes!

Any advice which category works best for print and media?
Absolutely - the Doodle category contents the highest amount of high resolution sets. Most of the Grungy brushes are pretty large aswell, same thing for Dressed and Butterflies. Keep your eyes open for this little flower which marks the sets that include each brush in different sizes, very large and pretty small. For all kind of designs needed.

No specials?
Of course! Specials everywhere. First of all you´ll receive the special members newsletter which actually is the most interesting part of Seishido I can tell cause all members always do! You will be linked here if you want. As an official Seishido partersite, if this isn´t special! You can tell me your birthday and get something specialspecial. If you´re going to get yourself the complete license for commercial use of all categories you´ll also have your own username and password to enter the members area and feel extremely special in there and one of the brushy limited edition CDs will be sent your way, including all brushes and textures and a special and pretty personal thing by me.
