Seishido actually has a philosophy, good reasons and a story to tell!
The shortcut of the following is that I am just trying to run Seishido the way Iīd love it as being a customer myself.
Everything I do here, every decision I make is what any other short-on-money-wasting student like me would be satisfied with!
As youīve maybe noticed each and every brushset in store, no matter how large or beautiful, is $ 1.00 and nothing else.
Two good reasons why I am keeping it this simple. First of all, I suck at math. And furthermore I want everyone to be
able to shop Seishido, not just the richer ones and those who can affort more. I wanna share my work with everyone,
students, homestay mamas, teenies, grannies, business ladies and guys and all the people who come here and fall in
love with either one or more of my designs.
The shoppingcart here still is not working automatically! Sure, this needs me online to send orders out and yes,
itīs time killing but worth every single second. This way I can stay in touch with everyone and get back
if answers and advices are needed personally. I experienced itīs appreciated to be reachable. I also experienced being
honest and fair pays out! Itīs not pretty typical for a business to care this much but you get something
back in return thatīs worth much more than any amount of money. People care about you too and actually everyone here
cares a lot about Seishido. And as long as I can affort the time for service and keep the prices as low as possible I will.
Itīs true, longtime members know this, Seishido has been totally free in the early days and then became a membership
site based on donations to cover the high bandwidth fees. During the slow process of becoming a shop some major
changes had to be done and I somehow managed to keep everyone entertained. At no time there where any
disadvantages for active members and I herewith promise there will never be some. Iīd rather let go on whatever is needed
than disappointing even one single member or customer. No way!
I have been told to become more professional when I turned Seishido into an official company but to me thereīs no reason
to change the daily fun here. I love to break the rules of my own businessplan, I need the cookieday chaos that causes
so much happiness to everyone who is lucky enough to come here while itīs happening. Itīs my duty to keep my
customers entertained and thrilled, thatīs what motivates and inspires me the most, itīs makes me a better artist and always
reminds me of itīs not just my brushwork that makes Seishido a special place!
